Brotherhood of Battle is an MMO made by Moonkey and Myself. It took half a year of full time work, and has for a long time been exclusive to xgenstudios.com

NOW IT'S EVERYWHERE!

make sure you check out the tutorial. This is a fun game to play, but takes a few rounds to get the hang of. once you give it a fair chance I'm sure you will enjoy fighting your friends, meeting new people, and building your rep!

Please respect other peoples opportunity to enjoy this game, and enjoy it yourself! i great challenge and a lot of fun.

Also, MOONKEY has done SO much work in keeping this game alive, so let's all share a minute of silence in his honor...

FOR THE BROTHERHOOD!

Best flash game I've seen!

It really is. Simple but deep, addicting, fun to play and very qualitative.
Gameplay is fun and dynamic plus there are plenty of gametypes and even map editor! Units are well balanced, upgrade system gives many strategic options, graphics looks good, there is even A-class promo video - this all shows how much effort you have put into this game, and the result is true masterpiece!
But.. It really lacks single player. People are thrown online and have to play vs experienced players, and most likely to loose at least 10 games before first win. This really scared people away from it. Tutorial helps, but it's not enough. Withought some pre-online training BoB won't survive...
Hope you guys will return to this game, and it will take a deserved place not only in my heart, but in hearts of thousand others!

Brotherhood of Battle

Probably the best flash game I had a chance to see.

As a turn based strategy game, B.o.B offers gameplay depth one can rarely find in flash games. Because of it's strategic elements and wide selection of possibilities, game does require a certain learning curve to truly master it. To get the right "feeling" for all unit classes, to get to know what each of them can do best and which are their weaker sides.

After basics are learned, one can start developing strategies and tactical approaches which suit his style of play the most. When experienced players stand against each other on the battlefield, it's all about outwitting the opponent to achieve victory. And this is when real fun begins.

Newcomers should be able to get familiar with the game relatively quickly, since they will find lots of support in tutorial and help section. There is the possibility to play beginner's matches and custom games before moving on to the real battlefield in quick play, where one can face their opponents in battles which count towards statistics and eventually achieve magnificent ranks to match their skill.

A powerful map editor is also included. When people make maps with potential, chances are fair that their creations will also appear on official B.o.B map list in the game, where they will be available to everybody.

All in all exceptionally very well done. Thank you Biclops Games and Jazza Studios for bringing this gem to us.

Jazza responds:

thanks for the fantastic review. there tends to be a lot of "too hard to grasp so i'll vote it down, spam the chat and leave" but those who give it a chance end up enjoying it in some form. it's not a conventional game that caters to the ADD masses :P

i appreciate you in depth look at the aspects of the game. thank you. :)
