Gibbets 2 is the sequel to Gibbets, a popular skill game where you use your bow and arrows to save the people being hanged!

It's fun, but lacks new ideas

I'll write this review in a categorised form.
A long, nice skill-game, tough it hadn't got improved too much since the first episode.
- Improved level-graphics, achievement-system and game engine (if I'm right)
- Great number of levels
- Bonus maps
- Nice music
- Advert-buttons are not as obtrusive as they were in the first episode
- Lack of new ideas / Almost totally identical gameplay to the first episode
- Frustrating level design
- Some levels are identical with levels we saw in the first one
- No significant graphic improvement (except level-graphics)
So in overall, I really miss those features needed to call a game "sequel". I also have some ideas for an occurent third episode.
I think (and that's really just an opinion of mine) that game could have somekind of a theme. I mean the morbid act, that I shoot arrows on hanging people, would be acceptable in a much darker scenery, than in this joyful, sunny land.
Here's something else: frustrating people is an evil thing to do. If you didn't meant to be mean, I think you should make an easier way to complete the levels, BUT on the other hand, you should also reward people who choose the difficult way.
That's all, and thanks for the experience!

I am too lazy to get a star in 8 more levels to get the achievement to get an additional arrow! xD

Besides that, it's a pretty entertaining game =]

usally with games like this i get stumped halfway through but so far i find it just at the right difficulty and strategy those a music selector would be in order but still a great game
