"Greek & Wicked" is an experiment like "Tuper Tario Tros." was, not a big game.
William started to think about the differences between old and modern games : what are these differences ? Mostly better graphics and sounds, but in term of game mechanics old and modern games can be very similar. So, what if we take modern games elements and reduce them to their most simple form to create a very old fashioned electronic game like a Game & Watch.
When we started working on it, Guillaume was playing a game that was the perfect modern and AAA game reference we needed : God of War.
We had some difficulties to finish this game, and in the same time daily news were (and still are) really hard too. We thought the fight of our little greek character against an invincible hydra was really close to modern fights. That's why William integrated a little scenario connected to recent european events.

How to nueture a simple concept for a game...
I really do like the concept behind this game. A sort of retro- flashback to those 1980 hand held game devices. And the God of War infusion in it worked great. However, you really fucked something that could have been really good, by impregnating the game with viral Mochi ads that render the game almost unplayable on my computer. For such a simple game, freeze ups and stutters should not even be an issue. But by intentionally doing this, it only reflects badly upon you, and a reason why I can't, consciously, give you a higher score for it.
It's our second flash game and it seems many people are against Mochi things.
Next time we'll maybe try to use other solution.
Thanks :)

Glitchy
The game froze up on me a few minutes into it, but I'll try again before rating it.
Don't hesitate to send us a MP to give us more details about the problem you have or had, so we could try to fix it :)

keeps stalling
the game keeps stopping, then letting the giant hydra head move, then me. but the hydra hits me before i'm able to move again. I'm using firefox on a macbook with good connection speed as well. Other than this, the game is fun. Who doesn't love defeating capitalism?
Sometimes, when you're downloading other things, the game could be slow.
But thanks for the details about your problem. We'll try to solve it.

Very clever, not so fun..
I thought the game was unique and clever although as I'm sure you observed from other reviews, people get bored of it quickly. 5 stars for the creative metaphor, idea and pleasant presentation but not entertaining enough to get any more than that and at the end of the day that's what games are all about.
P.S. In Solidarity with our Greek comrades!!!
Dear Romeomustdie:
Why do you believe this game is such a huge insult to your country of origin? I say country of origin because you claim you are Greek but you have the ignorance and short-tempered attitude of an American. Did I nail it? Anyway, the creator of this title was not insulting your culture, he was making a political statement. If you are not aware, Greece is in a state of civil unrest because of the debt that is being made the responsibility of the working people. Debt that was accumulated through the irresponsibility of the Greek government in loaning money from the EU and in dealing with organizations like the International Monetary Fund. This burden is being placed on public services that the Greek people depend on. That is where the comments on "capitalism" come from that were used in the game. The characters in the game were taken from a console game, "God of War", which is based off of Greek mythology. Hence, The Hydra (Capitalism) is killed by Kratos (The Greek people) but then regenerates itself and once again rears its ugly head! Pretty creative metaphor, huh? You see, if anything, the creator of this game was honoring the Greek people and showing his support and solidarity with the people of that wonderful country. Those people that would be ashamed for you to be counted among them. I just thought you would like to know that you are a fucking moron. Maybe next time you should consider doing some research before you let hateful, nationalist bullshit spew from your lips.
Sincerely,
The motherfucker that just put you in your place.
