UPDATE 05-14-2010: you can now CAPITALIZE up to 4 medals!
"Greek & Wicked" is an experiment like "Tuper Tario Tros." was, not a big game.
William started to think about the differences between old and modern games : what are these differences ? Mostly better graphics and sounds, but in term of game mechanics old and modern games can be very similar. So, what if we take modern games elements and reduce them to their most simple form to create a very old fashioned electronic game like a Game & Watch.
When we started working on it, Guillaume was playing a game that was the perfect modern and AAA game reference we needed : God of War.
We had some difficulties to finish this game, and in the same time daily news were (and still are) really hard too. We thought the fight of our little greek character against an invincible hydra was really close to modern fights. That's why William integrated a little scenario connected to recent european events.

medals
the game itself was ok, graphics were nice, sounds fitting.
however there is basically no content. it's a fitting parody of god of war, and the qte are nice and stuff, but i have no idea why ng gave medals to this game. there are games with way more things to do and challenges to master that don't get medals.
but giving medals for finishing the game 4 and 7 times in a row is really just boring and plain pointless.

"Hilarious but the gameplay too repetitive"
I laught a lot when I discovered the game. The reference to old electronics games is a good idea. But the concept is too much repetitive to get all the medals. I killed the hydra wo times and that was enough. So I give a six...
Yeah, you're absolutely right about the repetitiveness, but it's the basis of an electronic game: it's repetitive :)
The only variation we introduced between the repeated killing sequences is the speed factor.
The scene became more and more tricky to complete in story mode. And the only reward is to discover more sentences between scenes and figure out that there is a message hidden in this simple "game".

OK, but gets old quick
I love the old hand-held, LCD display, AA battery-powered, portable video game feel to this entry. I just don't think that it has great replay value. Then again, neither did those old-LCD games, and I played Jordan vs. Bird for hours...
So you get props for the retro style, and I think it is decently playable, but it is just too repetitive to play for more than 5-10 minutes (IMO).
To romeomustdie: What is wrong with you? If you are a Greek, you are an embarrassment to the Greek people.

Well..
Better graphics please, I agree that the game is not that bad but I think more colourful background and a good music could improve this game quality.
Perhaps series of levels can make the game looks perfect.
