You can animate. I've never looked at any of your stuff, but from this I can tell you're a very good animator.
I think it's a shame your skill is not being used to it's fullest potential here. The joke isn't too great, and I can tell it's going for a "cute" angle, but to me it just feels like newspaper comic humor, that a smile is all I can possibly get.
Sometimes just a smile isn't so bad. There really isn't any joke at all in this one, I just wanted to "la" out a Mario theme as my cat. I'll try to add some deeper subtext next time.
