Steamboat Pico is the first animation featuring Pico. Made in 1928 by Hilmar Birgir Haraldsson with Hiragasy animation.

This animation took two days to complete and it´s inspired by Walt Disney´s Mickey Mouse short called Steamboat Willie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwobPtWdGm0

Little known fact!

"Plane Crazy" is actually Mickey Mouse's first feature.
"Steamboat Willie" is Mickey's first short with Integrated sound though.

Anyway, hell of a job, man.

Well-crafted nostalgia

Flash is a perfect medium for nostalgia texts like this one, and you have done a great job capturing the tone and style of the old classics. As I watched, I found myself waiting for the moment of recognition, when the narrative world would declare itself as belonging to the postmodern. And then Pico whips out the SMG's--what a nice blend of surprise, gratuitous violence and old-fashioned WTF-ness. Thank you.
