Happy Pico day 2010!

SHAMEFUL PROMOTION
Please recommend for the Flixel collection ^_^

PATCHED (once the admins approve!):
Uberkids are now slighty slower than Pico.
Converted Uberkids are now also dropping power-ups.
The small ammo crates now gives 1/2 ammo to all your weapons.
Map layout has been slightly altered to prevent the Uberkids from getting stuck.

So don't come here and say that I don't listen to you guys :) Thanks for all the input!
I'll keep updating and documenting it, as long as it isn't anything too big a change.

CONTROLS:
Move with arrows
Jump with Z
Shoot with X
Change weapons with A and S
Mute music with M
Mute all sound with 0 on numpad

DISCLAIMER:
Right off the bat, I'm sorry that Tankmen didn't really get to make an appearance. But other than that, all the other major Newgrounds mascots got their 10 minutes of fame, in this epic survival game!

CREDITS:
A lot of happy thoughts to my buddy Jones for doing all the artwork & graphic. Also, much love to Adam Atomic for making the Flixel framework a breeze to work with. Both of you did a mighty fine job!

fun, but tricky controls

i thought it was actually fun, but it would be easier for me if i used the mouse instead of the arrow keys to both move AND shoot, also, the "switch weapon" button should have been easier to find since it was too close to the jump and shoot buttons,
the fact i never got a break was actually a good thing since i love hardcore games.

Arkuni responds:

I wanted a retro feel and that excluded the mouse.

Very addicting.

This game is really awesome. You were able keep all the chaos flowing with a balance of a moderately large and creative arsenal of weapons. The sequel should have more weapons, more enemies and a bigger stage. Great job!!!

Arkuni responds:

If I absolutely had to make a sequel, then it would probably be more like a tournament with all sorts of themed arenas.

Good game

This was a swell game you made for Pico Day 2010,the graphics looked great for it being pixelated and the music went real well with the game too,as for difficulty it wasn't too hard but not too easy either and i liked how it had a variety of weapons you could unlock as you progressed through the game, the one knock i have with it is it got real repetitive and there wasn't too much movement involved considering you were in an enclosed space but overall it was still a good game.

Arkuni responds:

I know. It would be cool to have several arenas to fight though. But it wasn't supposed to be a big project.
