Shawnee Jenkins' parents eat people and live in the cellar, but that's okay. They're still Mom and Dad.

This is pretty nice and somewhat adorable but unfortunately, Shawnee would eventually turn into a winged, feral, instinctual, animalistic beast that will look like Orlok from Nosferatu just like her parents. Talk about bittersweet. You did an awesome job making this though, so kudos to you.

Hmm... this is the third cute/sad/scary movie I've seen. :(

It seems like every Horror thing is listed as Drama because there is no Horror section. :O I wonder if that should change or if it's too late for that. :?

I thought scary was spelled wrong in the tags too until I read the description and the comments. XD

Also, maybe I'm just imagining things, but I thought the time skip said years went by not months but she's still 8 years old? :?

Also, did she die or just went to sleep for an 8 year old? T_T Because if her life went that bad, that's pretty depressing. :(

I thought her life would just be bittersweet living like that forever, possibly becoming a vampire too and/or trying to drive people away like the old guy from Monster House. :(

Truly chilling. The laid-back country style of the narration and the emotional depth was so rich, and the visuals were perfectly suited to the atmosphere of the piece. Gave me goosebumps. Cried a little. Very well done!
