Cool

Pretty cool. Pretty much has all of the retro mario levels from the NES game.

WOW!!

I don't know how you did it, but it's like a dream come true to me.

the only nitpick I have is that Simon's whip and axes don't hurt bullet bills. also, the piranha plants stay up about 1 full second longer than they should do. You should shorten the time that they stick out of their pipes. Other than that, I got a laugh when I was able to tear through the blocks like crazy and cause some serious mayhem. Very cool game overall, just needs a few tweaks here and there.

A rare find, a novelty

I agree that a basic story could be added, that would improve the game overall, making each character unlockable and everything. One major gripe I have is in the castles you got so much going on that flash can't keep up and it lags really bad. Or, more accurately, the image lags, but you're still moving along with everything else, so that makes it more than a little challenge to dodge things if I'm a frozen in time and several seconds behind. I had this problem on several computers, most of them completely reliable for other games like Super Mario 63. It's those damn fireballs. The chains, the jumping lava bubbles and King Koopa's breath flying around all at once that seem to cause a major slow down. Maybe instead of each fireball in the chain being individually animated and rotating, they can all be made with one single sprite animation. By that I mean that each frame of the effect should be a line of fireballs and between every frame each fireball changes position and rotates slightly.
I honestly couldn't make anything like this myself, but I felt that I could make a few suggestions that could help it run more smoothly on less powerful computers.

Great except for the controls being messed up

This is outstanding. The only complaint I have is that you switched the B and A buttons for everyone. It's highly irritating to have train myself to hit A to run and B to shoot and the etc for the other characters and their functions. Change that and I would give this a 10 easily.

Nothing else much to say, really.
