This made me miss my old NES

Usually when someone tries to make a Mario game, they have the basics down, but they don't pay attention to the little things that make Mario - well, Mario. But when playing Super Mario Crossover, I'm just stunned that how much it feels like the true original.

But no only did the Mario part feel right, other classic characters are thrown in and also feel very much like I remembered them. Maybe just a little tweaking is needed on some parts, but the it's remarkable how well the mechanics are translated from the original games: the controls, the music, power-ups etc. It's just a blast to see Bill R. shoot his way through a castle full of Goombas and Koopa Troopas. The only character I hate is Simon Belmont, but that's because of his type of air control which I hated in the original too.

I can't say that the artwork or sounds are original, but the way the original Mario is given a completely new twist with well-thought gameplay is worthy of a 10/10 rating.

PS: Gamepads rock!

Awesome

Very nice indeed, love the music themes for each charactere and how it changes depending on where they are, also the powerups and different physics per character. Lost levels could also blend in for extra difficulty.

Here's some feedback :

Try to make Megaman's physics more accurate if possible.
Its weird as hell not being able to jump out of a slide.
And he shouldn't go directly into the running animation when doing slight steps.
he should dance.
Also he has momentum now when jumping. Odd.
