Hooray, Redshift!
I loved Blueshift, and the squeal has everything I loved in the first one but with a wider range of weapons, zones, and play types. The inventory was a good idea, but it's kinda clumsy. I'd much rather have a hot key I can press to recycle items rather then having to use the mouse or tabing over with the arrow keys.
The reflect shield and having various shield types has drastically changed how I play this time around. Something I would love to see is a way to switch between two shields so I can quickly adapt to enemy changes.
I haven't seen my favorite weapon yet, The front mounted buzz saw, but I'm still holding out. The triple saw blades are a great new weapon. Seeing a shower of white damage counters pouring from multiple enemies fills my heart with a joy that probably shouldn't be derived from a video game.
For Greenshift, I hope we see a much more rigorous inventory system, upgradable player stats, and (fingers crossed) ridiculous buzz saws. As usual, fantastic backgrounds, game play, and progression. Why this hasn't seen a cumulative score of more than 4.5 is beyond me. Great job all around.
