My first solo flash submission!??! Just kind of a short experiment.. do pardon the file size, I know it's a little on the short side. A five-day exercise based on a story a professor of mine once told me. I'll spare the details so you can decide what it means for yourself.
Done entirely in Flash CS3 and Photoshop CS2 (including the 3D looking stuff, which is actually only some 2D trickery)... rendered to video because the number of simultaneous filters and effects in some parts tend to make Flash players seriously unhappy :0
It actually took me longer to sort out the file formatting than it did to animate and draw... go figure?!
Using the "dim the lights" feature kind of helps too.
Plz do enjoy.
Thx

Has a meaning, but still kinda boring
the animation was decent and I understood the meaning, but this flash just rly wasnt something that entertained me.

Poor, lonely child...
As many children do, the child is imitating sounds, often the first steps in language. The crane, from the child's point of view, was reaching out. The child was left alone. The crane seemed to reach out to the child. The child reached for the crane, hoping it would reach a little farther. The disappointment in the child's face when the crane moved away was touching. You've captured the simple ways and motivations of a child quite brilliantly. Well done!
