A friend told me to look into iPod App developing.
Although I don't have an iPod, this may or may not make it, I'd probably even have to learn a whole new language too...
Any tips to improve or new ideas let me know.
How to play:
Click the gem's for points. Gem 1 = 1pts, Gem2 = 3pts & Gem3 = 5pts. Upon clicking the 3rd gem it will disappear. If you miss a Gem you will loose health. Last as long as you can.
Here's a few things..
The menu, you don't get enough time to read the instructions. However, I noted that the instructions and the 2nd Page describing the points, only flash between each other. I would simply add in an Instructions button to replace the constant flipping.
- The game does not end, it would have been nice if that was mentioned, the "Last as long as you can" part, somewhere in the game.
- Add Some music, perhaps something light, but with the option to turn it off, and some sound effects when clicking, er, destroying the Gems.
- Consider adding a difficulty option, or maybe different types of Play modes, having only one play mode, which is basically endurance, can get very boring, very fast.
- Adding to the above suggestion, add more Gems / Shapes, different stages maybe, such as Stage 1 is, "Space" and then after so many points Stage 2 would be, "Asteroid Belt" or something like that.
It's a work in progress, I can tell, but I do think you're off to a good start. There's plenty of things you could add, and some of the things above I listed, are just some starter ideas. The game is a bit dull, but if you add more stuff, options, etc to it, I'm sure it'll do fine.
It does end. I just had a problem as a last minute pre-loader was chucked into a new scene. Which messed up my code. But yeah, I'll have to look into some sound making program I guess. The theme idea is great, I will get working on it tomorrow, and as for the difficulty, I'm not sure how to go about doing that as it gets harder (faster) as you gain points. But yeah, picture this on an iPhone, or something, that's what I'm aiming for... Oooh just a thought then. Difficulty could be within the amount of 'clicks'? Thank you for your suggestions.
