This is the first episode of a new series that I'm starting work on. Instead of having an initial episode that sets the scene and characters in motion, I took a note from 80s fantasy/sci-fi shows and made a long winded opening that explains the entire concept and back history of the show.

If you've ever seen Quantum Leap, you'll know what I'm talking about. The show had three back-to-back openings that lasted almost three minutes, and by the end of it you knew the entire history of the show along with what Scott Bakula's favorite foods were. He liked radishes for some weird reason, and if any of the crew made eye contact with him he'd go into a rage and beat Dean Stockwell unconscious.

I had to make some sacrifices for the Newgrounds version - namely the background characters. Since there were so many flies moving around in the background, Flash wouldn't export it and the whole thing would crash and burn. Right now there's just a frozen screencap of one of the background layers in there, because that's all Flash wanted to handle.

Also, there's a scene in there that had to be inserted as an FLV, since I couldn't keep the shot in without some movement in it. I imagine it's also contributing to the huge file size.

Basically, if you feel that there's something missing from the background... there probably is. It'll be in the YouTube video. Full HD looks nice.
