Hey guys remember me?

Recently, OCRemix released their Donkey Kong Country 2 album, 'Serious Monkey Business', and being a big fan of DKC2, I absolutely loved it. So much in fact I made a music video for one of the tracks, 'A New Place', a remix of Hot Head Bop. Hope you like it!

You can find the full album, filled with even more amazing DKC2 remixes, right here! http://dkc2.ocremix.org/

Good

Been listening to the Serious Monkey Business Album for a while now, this song was one of my favorites. I always knew if anyone was going to animate any of the songs, I would find it on Newgrounds... and behold! I am also a fan of Psy-City stuff so I knew this animation would do justice for SMB and DKC2 itself. Now to review your animation. I am glad you stuck to the original graphics and then added your own special sprite animations, gives it a pure and authentic touch that tie seamlessly together. You did great in syncing the series of events to the music and lyrics, except for a few parts. The beginning of this song has the nice slow smooth instrumental lull, and your beginning animation has the same lull...which I did not like. I feel that Diddy and Dixie Kong should have been moving more in the beginning part of the animation, doing more fun acrobatic monkey type things...Diddy and ESPECIALLY Dixie were not doing much to start...but of course this is the artists (your) interpretation of the song and I respect it. The rest of the animation was excellent. I really like the ending where Dixie bests Diddy and gives him a little kiss. Overall I think you made a good effort in animation and I would actually be thrilled if you animated a few more of the Serious Monkey Business Songs, perhaps Monkeys Disarm Their Kremlings... I can hope, right? haha
