There's a peculiar creature in the cellar, and the little brown bug is growing hungry.

My first Newgrounds submission, and my first attempt at a flash animation.

I want more

I like your artwork style, and also the ideas that go along with it. The stomach part really made me think "Thats fucked up and interesting." Also I think to make an animation like that, you have a pretty twisted way of thinking. I also had the thought of "Why is there a clown in the basement?". It would be great if your next animation was the prequel to this as to why the clown was there & to be just as twisted.

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

I do plan on making another clown one, but not just yet - in the future perhaps I will - thanks!

pretty creepy

i'd go ahead and call it creepy, but wouldn't go as far as "disturbing"... and why is there a f**kin clown downstairs anyway? now THAT would be a creepy tale

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

lol thanks!

Interesting

This was a good animation. Extremely disturbing.. but good. It kept my attention all the way through and I kept on trying to figure if the clown was dead or not.

Wow. o_o

That's really good for your first time. o_o The artwork is detailed and creepy. The creepiness is not forced like a lot of movies or games either. I like creepiness, especially when it's natural like that. lD
By the way, what kind of animation was that anyway? Bone? Vector point? Layer?
I know it there was some frame by frame but the way the arm and shoulder was attached to the torso I thought there was a little bone.

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

I don't know much at all about animation, I'm a total amateur - but the blue clown creature was done using tweening (mainly because he turned out too complex to do frame by frame) and the bug is frame by frame - its all done using Adobe Flash CS3... layer I suppose - Sorry I can't be of more help...
Thanks for the words!
