Rock solid & quite entertaining

Reminded me a lot of the classic NES era exploration games, albeit a little more linear and quite a bit shorter. I was able to collect all of the gems and find all of the secrets. I feel like the bottom secret area was the best of the three, since I could see the hole in the ground that led to it. I felt more like I found it by being "smart" rather than by simply trying every single square on one edge of the map.

Making the zones non-uniform in shape and size, and giving clues to the general area where the secrets were would go a long way to improving the exploratory feel of the game. I felt more like I was checking items off a list than finding new places.

I would like to second the notion that some put out of adding upgrades to the game. Nothing is more satisfying in a game like this than returning to an obstacle previously impassable with a fancy new upgrade allowing me to find out what is behind it.

Overall very well done. It was complete, and did everything it set out to do very well. I did feel a little cheated that my reward for collecting all of the gems a nonsensical ending and really simplified graphics. I would have liked to be able to explore the world looking for the secrets in at least the original graphics, if not something cooler.

this is good ist just that it has glitches where some parts of the thing would change and settings also change.
