Aww shit, this is where it's at now! And i put the finishing touches on it too! Check those credits! Those are sick credits!

Alot of work was avoided once again by doing less work and having shittier scenes, but there were a few scenes there that just ROCKED your world! Like that ship-debris falling scene? BAM.

All in all, pretty cool, i was taking this thing super seriously before but now that i can see it being what it is... i totally don't wanna remake this anymore. But rather continue with "Ex5" with all my insightful eyes and college informed brain. So we'll see...

Cool, see ya! Maybe now i'll review patchman in the commentary box.

Had vast epic potential...but fell short

I'm surprised I've never seen this series before, it has a very epic-quality about it. I'll be honest though, the animation was alright, but it was extremely choppy; that and the lack of some vital sound effects probably took away the thrill. The story seems well formulated but I don't think that there was enough depth shown in the characters, perhaps this was shown by the voice acting, which was good but not too convincining.

However, it has caught my attention and I am now interested ^^ and apart from those setbacks I am won over. Keep it up, I'll be waiting for the next installment!

pretty good

the animation is good, if somewhat uneven in quality. The characters are pretty cut and paste without any real interesting qualites. The backgrounds are pretty well done compared to most of what I've scene. The sheer number of frames is what I find most impressive about the artwork, there aren't really any tweens or recycled frames. the actual characters and dialogue are pretty interchangable, as well as trite, stiff and awkward. The shots can be a little confusing as far as framing goes, but it's never actually difficult to follow. The plot is fairly well done from what I can tell, especially given that this is a flash series. Most of all I enjoyed the obvious effort put into the material, it really shows through. All in all, work on your anatomy, dialogue and character design. Keep it up!

Great

I really enjoy it, the action sequences are awesome.
But as someone mentioned, the lack of background sound effects really drags it down. It just takes away the dramatic feel of the movie, especially during the fight scene.
Other than that minor problem the rest is really fine. Good job :)

the following review may contain pretentiousness.

A fine flash with a nice story whose tiny flaws keep it from being AMAZING. I'm going to start with a question: Why do they have hover technology, but use medieval weaponry? moving on. I do agree with nocturnalsamurai in that some background noise would of created an atmosphere, but the presention leads me to believe that in some ways its better off that way, also when the two people on hoverspeeders use modern military terms it just does not fit especially when the king speaks to his troops the same way a medieval general would speak. Jumping to the other hand the music, voice work, and interesting setting make it enjoyable.
Now before the dogs are let loose let me explain how I rate. 10 for me has always meant something is perfect (nothing is perfect) whereas 7 through 9 means it was worth enjoying more than once.
7 out of 10
4 out of 5 I always round up.

Well thanks for the review, and i'm 100% aware of the awkward decision to make them fight on hover technology with medieval weaponry. I wrote it when i was young and obsessed with final fantasy, they used swords though guns existed. I pretty much created the same type of universe except without the use of guns (sword fights are funner to watch anyways right?)

Anyways, i personally feel that it makes it more interesting without futuristic weaponry, its something different :) I guess thats just my thoughts though :P

As for the SFX, i'm shocked at people thinking there was not enough BG noise :/ I should go back and include more it seems :/

Thanks for the review! :)

more sound effects

thier on a boat wheres the boat noises?
their is action wheres the action noises?
their in the city weres the city noises?
everything was great but it felt it was missing enviromental sound effects that would be key for a view to feel less like we are watching and more like we are experiencing the story

I totally didn't expect THIS kind of review this time around, there are loads of SFX in here, i guess i kinda skimped on the wind in the hoverlancer scenes in favor of hoverlancer SFX and sword clangs, but i guess it coulda used a few more. The thing was i didn't want to bog it down so much so that it was an audible mess.

Anyways, thanks for the review :) I will definitely add more BG sfx in the next one
