** EDIT **-----------------------
IF YOU ARE EXPERIANCING THE "STICKY KEYS" BUG PLEASE TRY THE GAME IN GOOGLE CHROME IT APPEARS TO WORK THERE. (Source is Cheesenip. Please thank him too if it fixes the issue.)

ANOTHER POSSIBLE FIX: In internet explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Security tab>Click Trusted Sites>Click the "sites" button and add Newgrounds.com to the list. Make sure require server verification in unchecked and make sure the enable protected mode button is uncheck as well in the trusted sites section. I have no way to verify this but it seems viable. Let me know if it works.

If that doesn't work try playing the game in Popup mode.
-------------------------

FIRST: THANKS to Tom Fulp for setting up the Power of Three event last summer.
SECOND: If you get stuck watch the video walkthroughs accessable through the in game menu.
THIRD: In the boss fight, watch for the blue target... and prehaps use your blue ability where it is pointing...
FOURTH:If the game runs slow for you right click and lower the quality settings until the game runs at normal speed.

Primary has been a long project for FrozenFire and me, we started this back in July... TONS of work have gone into this game and we hope you like it as much as we do.

Primary is about Roy, a super soldier in the land of the HUEman (get it? Ya we are lame.), who must climb to the top of Prizim tower to try to find a way to close the portal that is allowing horrible black goopy creatures into his world.

NOTE: You can play with an x-box controller with an emulator like Xpadder, I am told this also fixes the "Sticky Keys" bug. The elevator menu is able to be controlled with the keyboard as soon as the game has saved so you don't have to use the mouse if you don't want to.

If you are interested in learning more about the process of making Primary you can read my post mortum of sorts here:

Not bad at all!

Firstly, Robfire; there are two sets of primary colors, one for light, and one for inks; Red, Blue, and Yellow are your primary colors for inks, paints, etc. Although these days, the primary colors for inks (commonly, printer inks) are Cyan, Magenta and Yellow; just take a look in your printer. Your computer monitor uses Red Green and Blue, the primary colors for lights.

Anyway, on to the game. I found it quite an interesting game to play, although it seems the difficulty began to ramp up excessively quickly, I had to give up about 15 levels into the game because the wall jumping mechanic felt too fiddly for me to tolerate any longer.

The sound was fantastic; very seldom, if ever, have I actually encountered spoken dialogue in a flash game, huge points for that!

The design and execution of the animation was very crisp and fluid, very pleasant to look at.

The gameplay however, felt somewhat lacking; again, the wall jumping mechanic felt very fiddly, the character does not seem to execute a wall jump until after he latches on to a wall, which does not actually happen until about two-tenths of a second after making contact; I attempted to hold the jump button and alternate the left-right buttons to alleviate this issue, but to no avail; if the timing is not extremely precise, you tend to fall (and more often than not, to your death as well). Additionally, it seems the creatures that fire upon you utilize near laser-precise accuracy, not to mention what appears to be haphazard timing between projectiles; all too often did I await an opportunity to strike only to be killed as soon as I closed to attack range; of course I could have just always been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

All in all: the game is exceptionally well designed, even by Newgrounds standards, and for that I give you high marks; however there are issues with the gameplay and difficulty curve that make it feel excessively difficult and borderline irritating after a brief period of time. To put it quite bluntly, it somewhat feels as though it was originally supposed to be a video, and changed into a game at the last minute.

Overall: 8/10 - 4/5

pretty cool

I liked it, but the movement just seemed really slow to me. And to Robfire, you are aware that the primary colors are the ones you can't mix anything else to get, right? And it takes yellow and blue to get green?

Amazing, But...

This is a very creative game. I love the idea of "switching". It really adds some taste. Although, I have two complaints. Not about the gameplay, but about the graphics.

1. The colours aren't full 255 colour, especially yellow.

2. No mean to offend but, YELLOW IS NOT A PRIMARY COLOUR. The Primary colours are Red, Blue, and GREEN. Do you ever hear them say "RGY"? They usually say "RGB", dont they?

It's not that this game is bad because of those appearance flaws, the graphics aren't the most important part of a game. Good job, though!

JackSmack responds:

Actually you are partially right. Red, Blue and Green are the primary colors in light but not in pigment.

Actually I think it might be Majenta Cyan and Green... been a while since I studied that.

I assure you that Red, Blue, and Yellow are indeed the official primary colors of the NFL, and pretty much every artist who has ever read the first 5 pages of any art book in existance.
