Several cut backs had to be made to fit the filesize under 10MB. to play the version with no cut backs, [sound quality etc] go to: http://zegman.deviantart.
com/art/Particles-Extreme -Arrow-keys-152569227

Also I am aware of the ship, during cutscenes, randomly disappearing, this is because the tweens were being a little bitch. this doesn't happen if you play it at the above link.

-- added arrow key support, go to options to turn on.

Thanks for viewing! I hope you have lots of fun!
(Make sure you have flash player 10!)

--Overview --

8 bosses, bonus unlockables, and epic particle explosions!

After about 2 months of work, Here is Particles Extreme.
It is my very first shooter, and an epic one if I may say...

I tried very hard to keep the code as efficient as possible, so it shouldn't lag too bad.

And for a very epic secret boss fight, beat wave mode on hard difficulty.

--Controls --

Use the WASD keys and hold down the mouse for wicked awesome explosions and tripping beats!

Yeah, that's all!

Pretty solid game

I would recommend adding a mute button and have more diverse weapons.

Alright, Thank you! :D

The flow between difficulty is off. But its fun!

The gameplay is sound, but for the secret boss, it is just impossible.

The only way I can actually get a shot in is by having half of my life be obliterated!

Whereas the last 15 'hard' levels were a piece of cake.

Here are some things I'd reccomend if you plan on making a sequel.

Add a story, it adds more of a soul to the game and it makes everything not seem so spontaneous.

Add more levels! The xp bonuses are pointless, if you can quickly rack up 3 out of the possible 3 levels by the first boss!

Make the bosses flow from least challenging to more challenging. The first one was a breeze, all you had to do was focus the cursor on the red area and dodge away from a distance. The next boss however, was just cruel. Not only did you have to fight him on lower health, he was spouting bullets like they were candy!

Add a more rewarding gameplay style, like gaining money for destroying asteroids, and using the money for later shop areas or rest stops to buy upgrades or better armor, or emergency health packets, etc.

This one's always the way with me. No matter how well the graphics are, improve, improve, improve. I'm not saying you should just focus on graphics than gameplay(*cough* Too Human *cough*), but eye candy is always a plus with me!

ZEGMAN responds:

Thanks a ton man! I'll take those into consideration. :)

Good, but...

Really annoying music, an option to turn the music off would be much appreciated, it meant I didn't enjoy the game properly

ZEGMAN responds:

I'm sorry to hear that.

An excellent twist on a classic arcade concept. A great game and a great addition to the Newgrounds archive.

ZEGMAN responds:

Thanks a lot! :D
