NOTE: This is the full animation! So you don't have to watch part one, it's included in this! Just click the 'play the movie!' button. It's named 'part 2', but it's really the whole thing.

Glenn gives Annie a drawing she likes, winning over her heart. Annie spends the rest of the day trying to coax Glenn into romancing her. All he wants to do is draw, though.

This is the entire animation as it was meant to be seen! It's a whopping 13 minutes long, so don't watch if you don't have that much time to spare. I updated the first half as well, rendering 'part 1' obsolete. So if you haven't seen it already, don't bother, it's included in this. (unless you want to watch it anyway, to see what's different between the two versions or whatever).

Hope you guys enjoyed this, I spent about 9 months-ish working on it (of actual work, anyway), so I hope it pleases! Happy Valentines day!

EDIT: Thanks for the front page!

Nice animation, everything else, fair

You animated excellently, and the voice acting was great, but while this movie was good, it still had weak points. I did see the point you were trying to convey though.

- What grade are these characters in? In the beginning, it defines them as children. I think maybe when you incorporated the crayon drawing, that would've been better to imply her yearnings for affection. There's no way children would be doing something as adolescent as eating at a fancy restaurant. What did Annie expect from bring Glenn to a place more grown up as such? It is a cartoon, yes, and some cartoon characters are depicted in these exact situations at times, but usually it's countered by something else, such as they can't pay for the meal.

- Many others mentioned this one: the music. It was too incohesive that it hindered the Flash a little. Some were fitting with the moods, but the beginning one sounded too creepy.

- The ending, while true in a lot of cases, was a bit weird. I say that because it took that for him to comprehend she liked him? I took it as that hints are not enough to express interest. With her communicating in a way he understood, in drawing, he appreciated her interest. Glenn just wanted to draw. Adult things did not interest him. He's a kid, which was understandable. It felt like he was on the level to almost infantry though. So many conflicting things were going on.

I gave you a 6 because it was very obvious you worked very hard on this, and I admire that. You don't deserve lower though. That's a bit harsh (it is a tough crowd though). There's worse out there. This one I felt the message, but there were just those things that "bugged" me, and others.

I do want to check out your other flashes though. It's obvious you have massive talent. This one had a lot of potential though.

Well, I'm sorry you were put off by all that. As far as the conflicting signs of age, it's best to view this with an open mind, not taking it very literal. Especially when it comes to the 'age', as they appear in a lot of ways to be children. Then, in others, they appear older. I understand it bugged you, but a lot of it was symbolic of things I never intended to make obvious.
And yes, I know. The music sucked in parts, I get it. I personally liked it all, but I suppose I have a weird taste in music. It happens. That and I'm an amateur musician in every sense of the word, so that played a factor in it.
And yeah, it did take something that simple for him to see it. Throughout the entire thing, he was focused only on his art. Annie kept trying to get him to notice her, but he wouldn't. The only thing that made him notice her feeling was seeing the art she made. To speak his language, so to speak. You say he's childish, I say he's simple minded. Basically the same thing, I guess.
But I thank you for trying to watch and seeing its qualities regardless of what you saw as imperfections. I am still learning and I appreciate the feedback!

Hmm...

Well i kinda like it, it shows how boys can sometimes be clueless (the dude wasn't mental it was the artist interpretation on mens ignorance and attitude when it comes to romance) and what girl have to go through and what goes through their head when they become infatuated with a man, even one such as this.

The animation was good, but im no animator so ill just leave it at that. :P

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well thank you for not assuming he's mentally handicapped. Yeah, he's simplistic and determined toward one thing only, but that doesn't mean he's brain damaged. Well, not to the extent he's been described by other reviewers, heh. Glad you enjoyed it!

good score cuz i guess its hard to animate

im not an animator at all unlike the masterful Miseur HappyHarry, so i cant critique or blam your from any intelligent perspective. all i have to offer is the opinion of an outside viewer:

slick animation, characters themselves were confusing/undefineabe but enjoyable, cute romancing(reminds me that i have to buy my GF some chocolates and a card tomorrow ontop of the $100 gift i bought her already), was the music supposed to be clown scary? my favorite part was the squeal when he found out her could draw on the wall=

=Good movie about Special Ed Romance (?)

she looked more like a cute highschool chick, why was she interested in this mentally handicapped crayon obsessive? i say that in the most literal of ways, i wanted to get into the romance, but the fact that he was mentally handicapped kind of blocked it for me.

My summary: I'll show this to my GF, she'll think its sweet/cute, but not to any one else.

Um...

I would be lying if i said i wasnt disapointed. I usually love your work, but i just dont get it. I know and love the first one, but honestly, this one seemed to just be a nonsensical rehash of the same story.

The first one wasn't even finished. This is the entire thing. Hence, the first five minutes are the same thing, then the story continues. Sorry it disappointed.
