I had a few spare days, and this is the outcome. First flash in a long long time. Anyway, its a fairly simple game.... though the controls may seem weird at first.

Also, the game has a few glitches when it comes to the walls. Hit them at a certain angle, and they'll send you flying forward. Depending on your orientation, that may mean out of the track.

Also, for those who feel that its too slow for a F-zero game (and I admit...it kinda is), be sure to check out the HYPER MODE. It's a little tech demo thingy where you can pilot the machine at a higher speed. The reason I didn't make the whole game like that was to avoid collision problems and more glitches.

great concept, but very short and lacking

The game is a great idea, I had a little fun playing its four levels, the only problem i had was braking but that's probably a fault of my own. Pressing down to break is awkward for me. The game would have been great if it had bared any resemblance to the F-Zero games, or would have at least had more of the features and more levels. It doesn't seem like tracks would be too hard to create for this game, but overall, it may be short and lacking but it's pretty, nicely written and well put together. Doesn't try to do anything that it can't do.

Good, yet here is what you need

Try to find a way to have it seem like it's going fast when it's really not (Optical illusion).

This will solve the "it isn't fast enough" and "it'll cause glitches" in one blow.

You need to add obsticles and jumps and corkscrews and loops etc just like the real F-Zero.

F-Zero is known to have jumps, spirals, speed boosts, energy refill pits, mines, pipes, half - pipes, tunnels ... you name it ... it has it. This one has nothing.

Have the ability to pick more than just one ship. If it were up to me, I personally like Picos' car best.

F-zero not only means super insane speed, it means super insane speed with the ability to boost to go even faster on the second lap! However, this requires energy to use up.

If you play F-zero X and F-zero GX ... you can see all the examples I speak of. Find a way to incorporate all of them without using a lot of space and you got yourself the best game Newgrounds has ever seen.

Find a way to do that, and you my friend, are a genius.

Good job!

I can't wait for the better version in the future!
