Take your heroic minor and help him develop into the kingdom's most glorious hero.. Get a job, go to school, rebuild the village and raid dungeons for their untold riches.. Will you ultimately be a hero, or simply a zero?

It has great potential

It really does, but first off, there is a lot of glitches, like I raised my combat attack, and when I come back to it after working, I see its 20 points lower! What the heck!?

I also would like to not just find lumber in the freaking dungeons, I mean, there is the woods is there not?

I do like the beginning part though, where you can pick your advantages, that parts pretty cool.

This is where flash games addiction meet...

Congratulations, your flash game is addictive !
But wasted.
Just a sample : let's explore a dungeon ! okay : down, down, down, right, right, treasure, yeepee ! what is a mystic glove? dunno, can't see. Can I wear it? Go home and we'll see.
Down down down right right OMG a squeletton ! (noticing that the skin of my hero and the ennemies' are the same than the first pet protector, which btw had potential) -> click auto-attack, attack, go back to java.

two minutes later : omg i win ! down, down, left OMG a monster ! -> click auto-attack, attack, go back to java.

one hour after

it's funny how the dungeons look like all the same. mmmh... too bad i had to go home just one square before the final treasure because my pussy hero was too stressed.
oh and of course i forgot what i looted because the inventory is a mess and nothing is done to compare.
what is tactics? mmh, they say "it is useful" in the menu. let's raise it !
can i shut off the music... repetitive as the rest of the game? of course not.

I'll stop here.
But someone tell me : why is this game hot off the front page ?

Has potential, but as is it has too many problems.

I like it

I feel materials should be available elsewhere - I had to start a new game when I finished the 3 or 4 dungeons I had available, then realised no new ones seemed to be unlocked unless I built the graveyard/mage tower/hunter's lodge.

On the next play, I went through to the end, and it seems the difficulty needs a bit more balancing - in the last 20% or so of it I was basically invincible, even the hard battles in the 'dice roll' adventures were easy. Also, 2 new dungeons appeared with 5 weeks to go, and I don't even know why. With a LOT of the adventures that appeared, it wasn't clear why they hadn't done previously. I couldn't complete the last-minute levels because the stress system means a handful of battles wears me out, so that 1 week is lost from being in the dungeon and it takes another 2 weeks to rest up. The stress system isn't bad and early on it works fine, but maybe increased strength or constitution should give you greater resistance to fatigue as you progress. Or just don't have so much stuff in the later dungeons.

But I'm saying all this because these are the little things that prevented this great game from being really perfect; it's still very playable as it is, I'm just not so likely to come back to it often, knowing I'll get frustrated after a while.

My Judgement

Well, I must say it is very intresting.
Where shall I start?

As an avid fan of these games, I must admit, I'm dissapointed. I played the orginal game to the end, and the first is better than this.

Ngcom, on your comment, the game does NOT have an unlimited option. Believe me, I tried. Why? Cause I couldn't please the DAMN LADY MAGE! How the hell can you not please the mage when your charm is over 500?

Graphics: Total loss.
Music: I completely have to agree with mikee here. I wouldn't play that music even in an elevator.
The Stress System: WTF? All im saying
Overall: Its an ok game, but it could definitely use room for improvement, and a chance to please the LADY MAGE! (As you can tell, I tried, and failed, multiple times)
