This was an entry I did for a Australian wide competition run by the Bell Shakespeare Company and sponsored by Optus.
I actually ended up being the National Winner, which I'm really stoked about.
The object of the competition was to take one of five Shakespearean quotes and interpret them using a creative medium, be it a drawing, short film or song. The quote I interpreted was 'Disguise, I see thou art a wickedness'.
The animation's pretty sappy but I thought the judges would eat up the whole bullying angle (which they did :P) It also couldn't be more than 30 seconds long, so it was a bitch to fit the whole story in.
This version isn't the one I submitted. It's slightly longer, I guess what I'd call a 'Directors Cut'. However, only a few things are changed from the original.
Here's a link to the original and the site that hosted the comp: http://makeascenecompetit ion.com.au/gallery/view/2 71
I hope you enjoy it!

Amazing movie and touching moral!
This was really great and it's weird I wasn't quite expecting it to be touching. In just a short moment you really feel for the kid plus the music adds a nice even touch. Good job and you really deserve that award you won for it. Hope this wins some NG awards too. This certainly deserves to reach much higher score and I voted 5 to make sure... keep makin more!! ;)
Thanks for the kudos! Much appreciated! I'm surprised you liked the music :P I didn't want to get pinged for copyright infringement so I actually made the little piano chords at the end... and I'm no piano player... :P I might've added background music, but I really didn't have the time or the motivation to do it within the deadline.

this was actually really good story telling.
I loved that it shows bullying from both perspectives.

That was really good
Sound was lacking, though it was a good animation.
Good story, plus bullies are the people who grow up and get jobs like pushing trollies.
Keep up the good work
Yeah, not an expert on sound. Did it all on the night before the deadline. What's lacking exactly?

short...
i thik that you must have to put an end at this video more far (i mean ... at school)
It could only be 30 seconds long for the competition, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the ending. If I was going to extend it I'd probably have to do it over.
