A few months ago I made this TRON based animation for a video contest. I made it into the top 10 but didn't win. Not wanting this to go to waste, I finally got around to gutting any references to the original contest and put it up here.

This was also an experiment with CS4's 3D rotation features and how well I could get them to mesh with my old Lightcycle models and 'shape tween 3D' techniques. It was also done in a rather short amount of time, so some of the art is sub-par.

It's sad

It's sad that you didn't win, and it's also sad that I have had the same thing happen to me when I use to play with one of my friends at the arcade. Though I must say that I was happy to see something that brought back some good memories.

Decent

Decent and interesting movie.
A few years ago I played a game that looked like this.
You chose a motor that was able to shoot lasers and make a laser wall, like in your movie, but I forgot the name...
Anyways, the movie had good graphics and sound, keep it up!

Neat!

I like TRON, this is done very well, considering the use of expirimental tech.
Good job, do you think you could do a re-make in the future?
