These are a few shorts I made over 2009 and a little into 2010. Bear in mind they may a tad strange for some tastes. Three more things:
-There are some references to my animutations
- All audio references in the credits sequence are hyper-linked.
- Mouse over on the bottom of the screen for commentary

I appreciate getting reviews and will respond to all of them. I understand that reviewing strange things is difficult to do so:
- What was your favourite segment?
- Any spesific suggestions on improvement?
- Anything you want to see in the next Hurshnenglurper

On a side note: my short Carrotoid was originally in this and will appear anywhere else I send Hurshnenglurper.

Hmmm

There are a few funny scenes in here, but most of the time I didn't exactly know what was going on on screen.

The musical selection is quite nice (and I just listen to jungle mumble... and I AM glad you only used the first few seconds of that song... >_>), but sadly most songs are playing for only a short amount of time.
Also, some scenes are very fast paced so it's hard to really get what is shown on screen. For example the first golf scene, I couldn't hardly read what was on that sign before the scene was already over again.

Then, the transition between the scenes could have used some more work. That strange smiley face with the flashing background doesn't look too good at all.

I liked the idea of the added commentary. This gave some nice background infos on the scenes.

Yah, several people have already complaining about the shortness. But I guess from what you said about the sign I see that I should try to balance visual busyness and duration on screen.

Good thing I took out the sound effects. I should definitely make a better transition.

Thanks and thanks for looking at my work!

So many audio credits... so little justice

A nice long list of audio was used for this piece, with some very talented artists in there as well, I might add. It was just a shame that their pieces never really got the airtime that they deserved in order to be beneficial to the piece itself.

The gags were quite short and mostly funny, but this was sadly short lived. What the required was a quick shot in the arm from a little more work on the animation and perhaps a few additional side gags to drag the pieces out a little further. Something like some commentary from a golf programme for the putter sketch and have the object just clip the hole, for example. I've just offered an idea that could lengthen the pieces themselves by 5-10 seconds each and that's taken me no time to think of.

When it comes to the drawings, perhaps consider that the sprites have been zoomed in on too much - pan the camera back, so that the figures are slightly smaller and you'll have a better looking piece.

The frame by frame at the start worked very well, but again, it was too short. With a few additional bits and pieces, this could have turned into a number of quality short cartoons in their own right, as opposed to having to be a compilation of a number of 'lesser works'

Arguably, using only a snippet of the song is a good idea. By giving them a taste it might arouse curiosity about the song and bring the viewer to checking out the song. In fact, the one person with Hurshnenglurper in their favorites list has "Crump NC" in their audio favorites. Also, if you look through those audio links on the side bar you'll notice that in most cases I'm the only one who's used it. I prefer using audio that nobody else has used. I'll admit the animation not being worthy of the audio would have been another good argument.

"Something like some commentary from a golf programme for the putter sketch and have the object just clip the hole, for example."

Actually, I had an idea of the she-pancreas landing in the hole being a prelude for a much higher quality animation to be submitted separately (if I ever get around to making it and making it properly). But I get your point (the gags need better planning).

"...this could have turned into a number of quality short cartoons in their own right, as opposed to having to be a compilation of a number of 'lesser works'"

Yeah, I guess it would be a good idea to mull the short over for a day in case I can come up with any more ideas.

Thanks for reviewing and being honest, it was really helpful.

Very short

even though I found this quite funny, it was really quite short, it should have been longer!!! Emphasis on longer, seriously.. nice attempt though.

Animation: It was pixelly but you did warn not to use that kind of flash saying it would look quite bad! However the end gave me a chuckle where you replaced the armor with food!

Audio: You used a large diversity of audio, bravo, bravo.

Storyline: There is no storyline, merely a bunch of short sketches that look liek they took awhile, not bad for pixel-like animation.

Overall: It was a great piece of work that maybe requires a bit more time and effort, great job!!

Glad you appreciate the candy armor bit.
Yah, I've been told to spend more time on my animation by someone else as well.
As for length I've got a couple ideas on some longer works (yet a few short ones as well). Thanks for reviewing!
