UPDATE 12/24: Thanks so much to all of you who've played Santa Fu already and to the sites that have been reviewing it around the web! We hope this brought back some great memories for those of you who played the original Kung Fu on the Nintendo Entertainment System! Have a great holiday everybody!

Santa Claus is drunk off his jolly ass on egg nog... again. This always happens around this time of the year. It's now up to you to guide Santa through his headquarters at the North Pole to show everybody in that winter wonderland that he's the true king of Christmas. And just how can you accomplish this? By using the ancient art of SANTA FU on anybody who dares to get in your way! Oh yeah, Mrs. Claus also appears to have gone missing, so maybe you can rescue her too while you're at it. Ho, ho, ho!

Santa Fu is a huge Christmas parody based on the classic "Kung Fu" game on the NES! All the levels, enemies and bosses from the original have been completely reworked and customized to fit with the overall holiday theme. On top of that, we added in some new music, cutscenes, unlockable characters, a high scores list and more!

Hope you all enjoy this special Christmas present! To us, it's definitely a Christmas miracle.

Shove the complaints or go play Mario Kart.

The idea seems to be simple enough. It seems like you were trying to make a pixel fighter simple and challenging enough for us older gamers to play and reminisce of the older days of hardcore games, when playing a video-game was more a form of self-torture than entertainment. However, the game is missing a few elements, such as a way to shake off enemies and health items, as well as a possible special attack. I can respect your effort, but it seems like you completely bit off more than you could chew when you decided to add in the festive theme to your game: it felt like playing a chopped up, diluted version of Double Dragon, except without the multiplayer option and where the enemies seem to be enjoying Santa's nipples rather than actually attacking him. The bosses were incredibly difficult, perhaps even more difficult than their 90's incarnations would have been. It did feel like there was quite a bit of honest work involved, and I can see how many oldschool gamers could enjoy this. This isn't something you can pick up and beat in an hour, unless you have crazy mad skills.

However, I have one last thing to say to those complaining:
This is a game. It is not your typical game, as you can probably tell by the creepy as shit game over screen you will inevitably see. So I want to say, shove the complaints up your ass if you have nothing else to say, and go play Mario Kart DS or go jack off if you're the type that cries when he can't beat the first level after the 100th try.

Could be better

Honestly, it's way too hard the way it is. Some of the enemies are too hard to hit, your attacks are slow, it'd be really nice if there was health or something in this (seriously, if Santa is drunk why not some spiked eggnog for health? That'd work), and maybe a way to get extra lives or something (if there already is a way, I haven't found it). That Game Over screen is just scary as hell (nice artwork, but that is SERIOUSLY creepy. Then again, the game's first boss is Turboman, I can't say I was expecting a normal Game Over screen anyway). It's a nice idea, but it could use some work.
