Hello NEWGROUNDS! I hope you enjoy the game. I just want to give some little information about the progress of making this game.
First of all, Screw Effect is made for a contest which is named; "60 seconds to fame."
The purpose here is to make a game which ends in less than 60 seconds. And I wanted to apply this concept to a physics based puzzle-escape game. Since I'm an engineer student I have basic knowledge about machines. I love machines. So I wanted to build a game where we control a screw in a huge machine, trying to escape.
Name of the game is related to the movie 'Butterfly Effect' in which the theme is; every small thing we do can change our whole life. In 'Screw Effect', our hero is like a butterfly which is small and seems unimportant. But actually it is not.
Game is completed in approx. 2 weeks. A designer friend I've met this summer made all the graphics and animation. His name is Abdullah Taha Müslümanoglu and his contact mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. He's a great guy, and I believe his work is amazing. A composer I've met from collaboration forums names Egor Shashin made all the music including 3 different in-game music + 2 menu music & sound effects.
