Would never expect a game from a Salinger book. Of course I hated it myself. Holden was a damned phony himself. Still though, cool.

it's a simple game mechanism with quite an unexpected atmosphere.
i like the setting and that you have to keep those souls from running off a cliff.
I would suggest you to make a little bit more clear where you stand cause sometimes i thought i was able to reach those souls when they really where far more off.
you could also add different models so that the player really gets the feeling of catching souls of real people and not just some different coloured shapes.
but apart from that i like the game its a bit different :D
Yeah, there are a lot of things like that. Thanks! Originally there was going to be a much longer introduction that lead the character to the cliff, in which the barricade would be made more clear. Again-just in the weekend-but will be sure to add all of this in the new version. And the girl towards the end [Phoebe] was going to be the first of a collection of the "different models" you were talking about.
For this to be made in a weekend, good job. The controls to this game bring it down a bit, as they get stuck on movement presses. Please fix the controls
My english teacher assigned the project Friday, and well...here's my creative approach to it. And yes, not a whole lot of beta testing went into it. I'll be sure to check that tho.
