Hey everyone, here's a game for you. It's a moody little puzzle game about a hermit that expands on the mechanic seen in games like Cursor*10 and Chronotron.
Bonus points go to Luka Marcetic, who handled the art, and David Carney, who wrote the music.
Don't forget: If you mess up, push R to reset the level. P or Escape to pause-Volume controls are in pause menu.
It certainly has been a while since I've come across a game like this.
Every once in a while, a truely exceptional game is made, that goes beyond all expectations and norms of current flash game trends.
So rarely is such a great story ever incorporated into a game style such as this. The creativity necessary for the creation this entire product is truely awe inspiring. It took me forever to finally find out how to beat that final level, and i loved it. Such a clever game.
I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see this ranked on the top games of all time list in the portal sometime in the near future.
Such a good refreshing game
love the game play and the idea
really good work mate nice job
Normally I wouldn't write a review. I just don't. However, for this one I had to.
The game was superb. The writing was amazing, the gameplay was simple yet endearing, and the storyline tugged on my heartstrings.
Yet that's not what got me.
It was her name. You see, my love, too, is named Kathryn. Spelled the same way, which is why when I saw her name in the opening monologue I knew immediately that I had to play this game to the end. Never did I think that it would end so sadly...
So yes, I will commend you on making an amazing game. But for this user, the biggest appeal was the name of the love interest.
The game was really amazing. You could feel the inensity from jack. This my friends is why i consider video games an art.
P.S: "I Am Jack's Broken Heart"- Fight Club
Simple, yet gets the story and message across. It's hauntingly touching, especially when you realize...he himself is the cause of his loneliness.
