Hey everyone, here's a game for you. It's a moody little puzzle game about a hermit that expands on the mechanic seen in games like Cursor*10 and Chronotron.
Bonus points go to Luka Marcetic, who handled the art, and David Carney, who wrote the music.
Don't forget: If you mess up, push R to reset the level. P or Escape to pause-Volume controls are in pause menu.
The gameplay wasn't all the involving to be honest, it was pretty plain and pretty easy, didnt require to much thought, but what made this game absolutely amazing was the way it actually made me FEEL something. Shooting aliens doesn't make me emotional, racing cars doesn't either, but somehow a little guy jumping around did. Bravo, even though the story was exceedingly sad, but was one of the best i've come across in a flash.
I'm Wowed :O
I've never seen anything like this before........very creative and touching story :)
I'm not much of a puzzle guy, but this made my tastebuds water.
This game should seriously be remade on Xbox Live Arcade or PSN w/ more lvs.
You must play this!
Excellent job on this game!
It drew me in from the very first second I played it, and kept pushing me to see what was at the very even past the point where I kept running into a brick wall. Especially the last level, which I'm still convinced that I was able to get past with my actual character just through dumb luck and spawning dozens of past jumping jacks.
All in all, you did the near impossible, actually make a borderline stick game downright touching. I was actually in a deep rut due to a few things that have happened this past week, but actually feel a teeny bit better now that I played this game.
Definitely a very nice accidental find, and I'll definitely be looking into your other works at a more sensible hour!
I came across this while I was preparing for my Abnormal Psychology exam last year. I went into the exam with a hyper-elevated mood, and did pretty well. I am coming back to re-experience it again...
One of the best I've ever seen.
Nice little game... there's so many more like this that have been done. Nice fuzzy touch and good music. 3/6
