It's very unique
I'm always a fan of demo reels, simply because it's a great way for us to look back on all the things we've done in the past year or so. I'm not a fan of yours, so I am not familiar with any of the animations/games used in this. There seems to be a lot of variety though, especially with that old guy game. It looks like some of your influences were people like Dan Paladin. I did indeed clap at the end just like I was told. Of course, you couldn't tell if I had, but it's a nice thought at least.

Screaning ruined it all
The flash animation you've just made is just plain low grade. The only thing that was enjoyable was the music that you found on itunes. There was maybe a good 5 or 6 seconds of good quality animation. You got lazy wich does not comply well with other viewers. The only reason that i'm giving an 8 because of the music and i pity this video.

Context can ruin all
This deserved much higher than a 3.8 - here's why I think it scored low.
I think calling it a 'demo reel' worked against you in the end. Saying Demo Reel prepares people for a polished and professional showcase. I strongly believe if you had have called it 'Animation Practice' or 'Muckin' around in Flash' or something like that, you could have easily scored well above 4.

This demoreel is pretty dang good. You should consider making a really awesome flash, you have the potential to do so.

This is cool...
Great animation and great music. It's pretty good for college applications though. All the best for your future animations :)
