After 3 months of development, the GARBANZO BEAN COLLAB IS HERE! This one took a lot out of me, what with using Action Script 4.0 for the first time. The menu itself took me 2 weeks to do, as you can see it's pretty intricate. Now, there's a little back story to this collab that's close to my heart.
It's not every day you see a collab organized by me in the portal, but I made sure this one didn't die like the rest of the collabs I've hosted. Garbanzo beans are delicious, but they hold much more of a memory to me than most foods.
My Dad, Gloria used to always cook us Garbanzo Beans in his/her kitchen in Des Moines, Iowa. He was an amazing chef, despite his job being a fungal surgeon in Chicago, Illinois. He always had a passion for cooking, and she always spent atleast 3 hours a day preparing his amazing meals for us almost daily. However, later in his life, she would spend longer hours at his firm in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania instead of at home with us. I thought he was cheating on my mother, so I decided I'd get to the bottom of it. I travelled to Arizona to confirm he was cheating on my mother, but he was tending to a good friend of mine, Splatter who had just gotten Leukemia from grape juice in a car accident. My father spent all the time she could trying to save my poor friend, but unfortunately, Splatter died of fungus-related suicide in March 2004 in a car accident. My father didn't know what to do, as he'd been tending to Splatter for long hours of the day almost every day.
Apparently, my father was diagnosed with grape juice leukemia soon after Splatter died, when it was revealed that my father is Splatter and I am a chhhhhhh
The BBS read of my struggle in the newspaper, and then invited me to host a collab about Tapeworms.
