I made this video for my website Retail Death (www.retaildeath.com). It's a webcomic about the horrors of working in retail. I was inspired in this project by people who are constantly coming into the store I worked in at the time and looking for things/demanding things that we don't even carry! Further inspiration comes from the way the management would always kiss up to every customer, no matter how ridiculous their demands. If you like the video, check out the site; I'd also love any feedback you might have -- particularly the positive, and I'd love some motivation to do more video projects. If I do one in the future, I plan to do far more animation than the crude, old-timey style of this one.

disturbing yet i understand

i used to work in retail, and I remember the hatred of working with horrible customers as though it were yesterday. i just have the good fortune of never letting a customer get something for free or my boss eating me whole. still might as well happened, not bad.

My store always gave stuff away for free, and their sales steadily declined over the years. No one in the upper management seemed to make the connection.

its good. all it needs is the silly piano music in the background that the black and white movies of this era have.
