Some scenes are very graphic intensive. You may use right click to change the quality if the movie is lagging a lot.
The credits song is "Burden" by Hania. She is from NG. I am glad people love her song. Check the song list on the left side.
Thanks for watching. Say whatever you like, good or bad. I probably won't reply but I often read the reviews. To be honest I could improve a lot on this movie. I was over cautious of file size.
9/10/2010: I lost my .fla file.
I have to agree with the one below me. This was absolutely beautiful. How did you only get 3rd place. This is...just...wow. I loved the music as well. Kudos.
This is quite possibly the PERFECT Halloween flash. Its scary but disturbing enough to be its own indie movie. I love this movie and I watched it every day this month. The first time I saw the ending, I shed a manly tear because things like that really happen. As for the dream, what the hell is that girl smoking? I want some!
I give it a 10/10 and a 6/5
For some reason that I can't really quantify, this is one of the few movies that has just stuck in my mind for months and months after I saw it. Like Alanthebox's movies, I had to come back and watch this one many times over the initial holiday season. I really believe that this represents the occult and frightening feelings we all had as children better than most absurd Hollywood directions could in their multi-million dollar budgeted movies. This feeling is what has been lost in Halloween for a more broad trend of dressing up as television, movie, or video game characters and super heroes. When I used to trick or treat, it was about the feelings we all have of fear and the deep, dark occult; raised to be examined on one season instead of repressed and unspoken like all other times of the year.
I really think this is one of the best flask animations submitted to Newgrounds, even though it's animation quality isn't as finely detailed as many others. When it comes down to it, flash animation is art, and this conveys what I believe the animator wanted far better and more effectively than most other flash, especially more-so than the other 2009 Halloween submissions.
