Just putting this here to get everything I KNOW I will never finish out into the open - some things have been on hold for up to 2 years. Tell me what you like/don't like/don't care.

Good job, i thought your loading screen was very original, the background with the strange coulds and the fly buzzing past. The main menu was full of life because of that great background music. Very creative concepts and i love how you gave facts at the end of them, gives the viewer an insight into them, sort of like a dvd extra. Overall a very good job and i dont mind seeing unfinished work, something about the possibilities of something that isnt complete, lets the mind imagine.

I won't go into as much detail as supersteph as he pretty much covered everything with his long review (as usual :P). All i'll say is that i liked all of them. You have a lot of potential and if u finished ur ideas u'd go far.

Animation was smooth in pretty much all of them although some slight glitches were present. Graphics were great all round. I enjoyed all the different styles of drawing whihc seemed to blend well with the themes of the short movies.

Audio was pretty decent too and it implemented ur flash well. Overall. You put in a lot of work in making these moveis and i hope u finish them as i'd love to see how each turned out.

"You should finish these :)."

Great job overall. I agree with Coop, this does need a Play All button, but other than that, this is awesome. I'll stealHaggard's review layout for this flash :3.

Around the Galaxy: This is very well drawn. Space background could use more detail, like distant planets and asteroids, but that's just nitpicking XD. It did start rather strange, with that wierd tree O.o, but you really should continue this. Maybe the star and planet start chasing each other around the galaxy, dodging obstacles and stuff, etc.

Preggo: Definitely a great opening with awesome music, but the scenes were much too quick (I hate reviewing after Haggard, because as you can see, I'm almost quoting word by word what he said -.-). Still, I suppose the quick scenes were because you were trying to sync it with the song, so I can't complain there, since it was a nice touch. The zooming in on the house was cool too, but I'd rather it zoomed in more smoothly, than just zooming in a little, then the camera suddenly switches scene to move closer, then it zooms in a little more, etc... What would be cooler was if the camera goes next to the door, the door opens up, the camera goes through and the movie continues from there.

Ying's logo: A very nice logo, that's for sure. Audio fit nicely with this as well. Wish it had a smoother transition into the 8-bit, or you could always scrap the 8-bit idea, since I don't see why you out it there.

Lizard and Fish: A good song to it, and a nice start. Not much to say about it, but I suppose that's because it's so short :P. I liked the part where the lizard fell right next to the landing instead of on it, that joke never gets boring :P.

Commercialize This: Whoa, what exactly was that? I didn't quite get why they disappeared. Other than that, this one was well done. I think you exaggerated the lip-sycing though, since that girl was moving her mouth around way too much, but it still was great.

Kasja Productions Logo: Man, if only you found a way to get those sounds in this logo, it's a vey good logo, and the only thing I can suggest which will improve it is to add that sound. Sucks to hear about what happened though :(.

Overall, you really should continue this. You're really good at making flash submissions, and I only didn't give you a 10 because these are all unfinished. By the way, I liked the Quick Facts feature and text box :). Anyway, better stop now before it looks like I copied and pasted Haggard's review :\. Keep up the brilliant work!

Haha, it's not a problem if you copied Haggard's review - if everyone reviewed like he did (regardless if it was negative or not) NG would be a much better place.

"Some good work in here"

date: November 8, 2009

A pretty nice submission, even though most of the work showcased isn't finished. In fact, the only finished work are the logos. But anyway, here's what I think of the movies:

Around the Galaxy: Starts very mysterious, then it changes to a more comical atmosphere when the star hits that planet. A promising start, I hope you finish that one. ;)

Preggo: Pretty nice opening, it reminds me of some sitcom intro (like "I Dream of Jeannie"). The music fits pretty well to the opening. Some of scenes are a bit too fast paced though, so it's quite hard to read the text and look at the enviroment at the same time. The zooming in on the house was done in a quite nice way.

Ying's Logo: A nice logo, only the transformation into the 8-bit like graphics seems a little off.

Lizzard and Fish: Again a nice opening, but some scenes are too fast paced. The graphics get pretty sloppy towards the end, but maybe that's just because you didn't finished the flash. ^^

Commercialize this: This was my favorite movie. The graphics are nice and the lip syncing of the girl with the song is done good as well. There where some statics when the tank drives through the scenery, though.
Also, I didn't really understand the scene change from the boy and girl to the tank. Yet, it still is my favorite movie. ^^

Kasja Productions Logo: Another good logo, but again there where some too fast paced scenes, heh...

Also, the quick facts you presented after each movie are a nice idea. You explain what you where working on and what you wanted the movie to be about. This helped a lot to understand the scenes and it certainly is much nicer than only watching the unfinished movies. Then the viewer couldn't make too much sense out of some of the movies.

Also, I liked the menu, especially that text box. "Enjoying the music is fine, too." :D

Author's Response:

What a good review!

That 'planet' in "Around the Galaxy" is actually a character - hopefully you can see his point gray arms below him and his little antenna...and his eyes...I really hope you can see those.

Preggo: Understandable, one of my earlier missions was to erase the text in the opening scene.

Lizard and fish: At the end I was just sick and tired of it so I just slapped things together at the end. keep in mind I was a depressed little thirteen year old at the time.

Commercialize this: Was going to have a later scene which would have explained the first scene of the two singing.

Kasja productions: It's just what my friend wanted - I tried slowing things down but he requested it be fast paced.

"Interesting to see."

I like the Around the Galazy clip the best, the animation ability you have is truly amazing. That's cool how the opening you created for your friend played on television, that's awesome. I didn't really understand the purpose of any of the films until the author comments you left about each appeared. I also thought the author comments sort of disrupted the flow of the pieces, a white screen randomly popping up did decrease the entertainment value.

I thought the main menu screen was set up nicely, and each scene had good music. I'm suprised you decided not to use that Ying-Yong logo you animated, it looked really neat. Overall, I'd say only two, Around the Galaxy and So This is Love, have potential and could do well on this site. It was interesting to see how procrastination won the battle too, haha. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Wow, thank you so much! As I said in the author's comments, I never really stopped working on 'Around the Galaxy' so it's still very much chugging along in the production.

Glad to see that you enjoyed them.
