It was hilarious for a little bit, a parody of the real grim nature of war. I found the idea that you're basically running down everyone and everything with no sense of friend or foe was comical in a senseless sort of way. Extra details like the occasional flyby of a chopper in the background was well added. (if you were going to be of that much danger to your own comrades, maybe they should have just airlifted you instead)
Stacking save points on top of each other when there are multiple tiers was a good decision.
But eventually, the novelty wears off, and the gameplay is lacking as everything is virtually the same desert towns and areas, with the same kinds of structures. Having played through the entire game, I found that there was little motivation to get one hundred percent on any stage. The only real obstacles are the ramps and bumps that cause you to fly in the air off center, as many require you either to be on your heels with the balance buttons or to otherwise slow down in order to progress without flipping over.
I finished to see if there was a semblance of an ending or some meaning to it all, but sadly enough, there wasn't.
