Thanks everyone for the many kind reviews! We're hard at work on part 2...

After a long time in development, the adventure begins. This was a labor of love. Hand painted backgrounds and characters all scanned and worked up with Flash. Everything should be working alright, but if you notice any major issues please let us know and we will fix them right away. Thank you Tom for the sponsorship! It lets us keep making games like this. Special thanks also to Mike Rudolph for making such excellent music. This is part one of a three part game so stay tuned for more Gretel and Hansel!

Insanely good! 11/10 and 6/5!

The graphics were absolutely top-notch, as were the animations of death. The music compliments it quite nicely, too.

It was quite challenging at first, how to start the fire stumped me the longest. Reminds me of Kings Quest games were you can die in sooooo many ways makes it all the more fun. The scenes of death are so enjoyable, it's hard not to repeat the good ones, especially the axe one.

The facial expressions during a death scene and such are amazingly great to see. Did I mention the graphics were awesome? I think I didn't.

There were a few bugs... *SPOILER ALERT IN SOME*

- Hansel, when grabbed by the crow on the cart scene, sometimes when I save him he doesn't fall back down. He's either suspended in the air, or continues to fly upward.

- After watching the stone (was the last for me) fall from the chimney, I didn't even have time to grab it before it cut to the scene where the mother takes talks to them in the room.

- The butterfly/insect that drops the clock hand piece, you have to whack it while its on a flower. I managed to nail it while it was on a stump, and it didn't drop the hand piece. Sucks.

- You don't really need the hand wheel for the trap... you can just lay the nuts, and trap the squirrel without even using it to reel the trap back up.

- The crow by the well sometimes just flew away, for no reason.

- If you shoot up Hansel (for the Kain medal), you can keep aiming at him after the fatal shot and keep it looping. He'll duck over and over until you release the trigger, then fall over and die. If you aim at him after he falls over and dies, you can repeat the death skull thing two or three times.

- Your graphics are too good. Zomg. <3

------------------

Regardless of the little bugs and glitches, this game is profoundly one of my favorites. It's one of those kinds of games, where if it were longer, you could basically sell the damn thing for tons of money. Srsly.

Simply Beautiful

The artwork on this game is so dark and stunning. I love the creppy take on Hansel&Gretel. The puzzles on it are so complex and puzzling at times but are still very fun to play. The various deaths and special"EasterEgg"are hillarious. Cant wait for the next instalments.
