I like the idea, just not the performance..
as people already said before me, animate yourself instead of showing in-game footage.
nonetheless, the idea is perfect, so 5 *s

looking over everyone elses comments i agree with most; its not a bad idea... but you should have put more work into it.... try maybe drawing or animation your own version of halo with your marker idea... my suggestion.. go look at the halo collection and get some ideas.

and for gods sake dont just make a random battle scene! add more story and depth to it.. as in YOUR STORY... dont just say its an add on to halo and then animate a random scene from the game...

"Unnecessary"

Putting a transparent green overlay and a few boxes here and there doesn't really justify this. You just put this crap on a few layers over footage of Halo 1 that was probably ripped from Youtube. It's a kind of cool idea - if you actually applied that to a Flash you drew, that could actually be pretty kickass. However, the time and effort it takes to use the rectangle tool and change one paint color's alpha are negligible. The only reason I can see why this has a score as high as it does is because of nostalgia for Halo 1.

I'm sorry but you're going to have to try harder than this.
