Why are people complaining?
The game isn't hard? It's simple. And it's easy to understand. You're a glass fish. Something hits you, or you hit something and the glass smashes. How does that not make sense?
Anyway, controls were fine too. Especially since you're in the water, and added extra challenge into the game having the move all over the place to dodge things.
I liked the music too, and how the game had it's own beat to the music. I can imagine it would of been tough to programme or even do, if only people thought about this insted of complaining about how they die every 5 seconds.
The medals wern't hard to get either, and they are fun and require you to actually think to get them.
Anyway, well done with a nice game.

Loved the ending, good job. I think people are voting low because they're getting frustrated. Haha was fun though.
Fun, but not amazing.
First off, I have no idea what game most of these people were playing. A score (when I'm looking now) of 3.40 is no where near what it should be, and by my guess, something like this should be at least 3.80-4.00, if not higher based on what most NGers actually pass as "good."
That being said, my experience with the game wasn't half bad. The controls are loose, as you would expect from a game based under water, and if you couldn't compensate for going too fast, you A) Didn't need to go that fast or B) Suck. Based on the name of the game, I figured the controls actually had to do with the rhythm of the song and was sadly disappointed when that turned out not to be the case, but once I realized most of the obstacles (the level itself being the exception) were BASED on the music, it kept me wondering what exactly the next beat would bring my way, or how the next obstacle would react to the change of instrument.
The story isn't the best, by any means, but it's something enough to make a dinky Flash game out of, so you really didn't need to go into it. For what it is, the story is just fine. If it was like, 10 or 20 levels, I'd want to know WHY the Wizard wanted fish trinkets (or, for that matter, how he could breath and speak under water or why he had a mechanical whale), but for a 3 level game, it was acceptable.
The music and graphics were catchy 8 bit goodness aside from the fire, steam, and lightning. I would have preferred if everything was done in retro glory, and feel it would've given that much more to the atmosphere of the game.
All in all, the game isn't bad. It's not the best, but FAR from the worst.
Also, to those of you who AREN'T the author.... it's not hard. You're just not patient. Understand how long it takes to stop depending on how fast you go, and if you need to brake hard, hit the other direction. I died a lot, yeah, but it was because I misjudged, panicked, or didn't know what to expect - RARELY from sloppy controls.
