[UPDATE] Thanks for front page and Daily 1st again, people! It's good to know that people are still enjoying the series despite the delays.

Wow. One year already, huh? Time sure flies when you're not having fun.
At least I didn't keep you guys waiting for 16 months this time. lulz!
Anywho, this episode has been the bane of my existence for the past few months. Trying to build up the motivation to work on it after all the stuff I've been through recently.
I experimented a lot with this episode. Mostly with Swift 3D for the Doomship and the hand drawn close ups. I did start using high res sprites for the close ups early on, but I later opted for vector drawings because they're clearer and quicker to make.
Back to the 3D stuff though, I am aware that the Doomship looks kinda primitive, but personally I kinda like it. It reminds me of the old Starfox game on the SNES. Plus I didn't like the idea of fully rendering it which would have made the file size skyrocket.
Anyways, I've kept you waiting long enough. Thanks to all those who have been patient and enjoy the latest episode of Super Mario bros Z!

I shit myself a little,..
When Mario dons the hammer suit, I know I was going to see an epic battle. The sequenses in the episode were AMAZING. You are really a sprite master Alvin.

Amazing as always.
Way to keep it intense dude, though all the punchlines are a little over the top, lol. this one seemed a bit short, i was kinda hoping we would get to see MechaMario throw his first punch in this one, but i guess ill just have to keep waiting patiently, i don't doubt you will knock our socks off with the next episode, keep up the good work, and good luck. if i weren't in a financial crisis of my own i wouldn't hesitate to donate. maybe another time.

YES YES YES!!!
Boy it's good to see the series continue.
I loved the Hotel MArio reference, the witty death of the Koopa in room 2. And it was cool to see Mario get rocked by a bad guy. The story went smooth and I got a cheap laugh or two, Luigi rocked the Tanooki suit and the Hammer Bro suit was given some well deserved respect as well. Great to see the series continue.
About the cliffhanger ending....Am I going to have to wait a YEAR to find out if Mario makes a comeback?

Writing... Getting Better and Worse
Well the story you're telling here is getting better. However the dialogue sequence between Shadow and Sonic made the story generic and boring as hell. The animation with the fighting scenes was just outstanding. This cliffhanger ending I wasn't quite fond of though, but I am anticipating the 9th Episode... hopefully it won't take as long for you to put together, but by all means take your time. Overall this was a nice installment, but it kind of gave me a letdown.

This was FANTASTIC i was sucked into it and holy shit FLAMING SONIC KICKS ASS!!! I have watched all of these and i cant not watch so intense keep it up dude XD
