Create your own fortune. Travel the land seeking to destroy the Buccaneers, an evil pirate organization bent on being outlaws... or join the Enforcers to help stop them and bring piece to the land! You decide, you build your fate, and in the end you choose the path you want to take and how to get there.

Frontier is a non-traditional RPG, taking mostly the form of an economics game... but in the sense that you're not set on a linear path to go destroy certain enemies or collect items. Your job is to survive, earn money, and do as you please. Destroy the Buccaneers or take down an entire city for your taking. Join the Enforcers and battle it out with some mercenaries to become true evil.

50 different cities beckon your trade and visit, each located in 10 unique environments and place. Each offers new financial opportunity or guild headquarters to find more purpose in your worldly pursuits.

Issues with the "Travel" skill

I'm not sure if it's programmed wrong, or if this is what you intended, but I played this game twice, once with 1 travel skill point where I only encountered buccaneer parties of 1-2 and usually defeated them quite easily, and another where I had 4 travel skill points where I encountered tanks and ships of buccaneers usually with 3-4 members and encountered them at least once each trip, usually more. This was in the beginning towns, where crime was "mininmal" to "occasional".

Is this just bad luck, or a bug?

I am still currently playing on the profile with 4 travel points, and still encounter tanks and ships of buccaneers while traveling between the beginner towns.

Amazing flash game

But bugs of all sorts are everywhere. From trying to travel to fast and getting stuck in a loop or just skipping encounters, to the random life that enemies seem to have. I got to the SPOILERSSSSS ghost ship ending and I took it out in one hit because it only had 30 life.. really hope you didn't mean to make the hardest mission first and the easiest last for that line.

Other than the annoying bugs, the game was otherwise amazing. The graphics were smooth, the sounds were good and I enjoyed the trading but it felt a little bland. Prices didn't seem to fluctuate at all, which can lead to some senseless back and forth from town A and town B if you find a good, adjacent seller.

My conclusion, the game was overall great, just some minor programming things to flatten out in the future. Keep up the good work, definitely look forward to future games :D

its gooooooooooooood, but

its just way to buggy to be enjoyable , when your trying to move quickly between cities it can somtimes bug out and leave you chasing a fleeign enemy forever in which case your 5 day journey has to start over again. all in all its a good game just needs to be polished

Great thus but....

The game has done nothing to teach me how to take over a city.

Otherwise the game is great but as it stands right now i just move back and forth getting great trade returns with an awesome crew. I just can't progress my guild story.

Can anyone help?
