A young hero tries to save his world from an evil dragon, but at what cost?
My first real attempt at animation, I'm more of a coder and an artist, hopefully you like it! :)
While it looks shitty, Their was a lot more work put into this then my flash game, consisting of 50 frames and a simple coding that takes you to the next page.
This animation has a lot of effects and its too bad idiots don't care. But i do!!!
Whats the code (preferralby AS2) that keeps it on the same frame for a certian period of time? I assume you did this in the beginning for your book to save space.
I used multiple frames to keep it on the same page, but you could create a Movieclip with 120 frames(10 seconds on standard speed) and on the last frame _root.gotoAndStop('insert frame here')
It would kind of be a timer, not the most effecient way of doing it, but simple :)
I do like the idea that you have but there are some things that you might want to consider:
+In the story time part... try to have someone who can realistically say the words out loud.
+In the story time part... allow the reader to select his own reading speed (if he even wants to).
+In the main scenes... with the dialouge on the bottom in text, don't do it word by word... it makes the flash seem choppy. Instead, throw out the whole sentence and let them read for themselves. Also it wouldn't hurt for a person to do the dialogue out loud.
+Buff out some spelling and grammer. "Fianlly" >.>
Other then that... I'll give you a 3/5. :D
Thanks for the feedback!
Terrible animation. The storyline was all annoyingly spontaneous and the animation was far, far below par. The only positive thing I could muster is that at least you added sound. Other than that this is nothing more than large, rancid pile of Fail. For shame..
What's ridiculous is spelling ridiculous wrong :)
Is the raw definition of keeping classy!
Great flash and loved the sterotypical humor.
Dude you got something here, make more!
The animating and graphics could have used some more work. A little more time perhaps? The story and the humor were pretty good though. I liked the material, nothing too complicated to follow.
An indirect Sequel to "The Artist" shows the life of the salaryman
Cornelius & Toots are back, and a Haunted House Ride seems a little spookier than usual!
this one isn't funny
