FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW, I HAD ORIGINALLY SUBMITTED THIS PIECE UNFINISHED... NOW IT'S FINISHED!

This was just a short madness experiment that I felt was best to submit at this time of year. I've always had this epic perspective for a live action madness movie in my head. I was just going for capturing the feel of that with this little movie.

CAUTION: VERY VERY SHORT...

I basically chose to recreate that iconic madness sequence where hank takes out 4 guys standing around him ten guns the screen. I always thought it was the madness equivalent to that famous James bond walking into the center of the screen from the perspective of the gun barrel and then James fires at the screen and blood oozes down. Maybe one day I'll make a fake trailer (Grindhouse style) to a madness movie. I think it'd be lots of fun. For now, here's a little test for your brief viewing pleasure that gives an idea of how it could look.

The way I animated this was I acted out each character's movements. filmed myself and pseudo-rotoscoped the acting in flash. Pseudo meaning i only chose the key frames of movement, and only used my body as a skeleton for these slightly out of proportion character models. I did this because:

1. I suck at animating, and everything I've made has just been me being resourceful, figuring out ways around actual animation, and trying to make it seem like i know what i'm doing when i actually don't.

2. I thought if I rotoscoped my acting it would give it that 'action movie stunt double' feel when he mows down the goons. rather than a cartoony over animated feel. (give it an overacted feel instead, so to speak)

Whatever the case, I know I'll get lots of complaints. But I just wanted to get this out there, sadly I ran out of time. but maybe one day, maybe for next years madness, I'll make a good grindhouse style fake trailer. I like impersonating the "machete" narrator voice for that grindhouse trailer, so I'll probably use that. cause I think it'd fit in the madness universe.

I wish Newgrounds flash submissions had a way to categorize submissions kind of like how the art portal you can submit sketches, something that won't go through the portal but will still be in your submissions list. a 'non-official' submission i guess.

Anyways, hope you enjoy as short and crappy this appears to be.

p.s. it's surround sound. headphone experience is cool.
p.p.s. it may be short but at least it's not a long preloader! :D

...p.p.p.s. btw, i hadn't realized but thanks to tom fulp for putting up my madness art in the gallery of your madness game! totally caught me off guard. thanks dude.
