Note that the music file is pretty big, and that might affect loading
This was made a while back for my multimedia class, but I never added more levels later like I thought I was. There's only one level and a boss, so it's pretty short.
The song is Intermission by the Receiving Ends of Sirens, and my brother edited the music so it could be looped in the first part.
This is my first attempt at a game, and my action script is basically all internet taught and trial and error.
Better than I could do...
I'm trying my hand at something akin to this, and I'm praying my first is half as smooth as this.

Could be worse
Nothing was really bad, work a bit more on AS and you'll be good, and pick up an artist and you should be good to go. Music was nice, I hate to say it, if there was no music I wouldnt of played any farther.
A few thing i saw was
:When shooting on a ramp I would move down the ramp
:The shoot travels with the guy, I'm guessing you should make the shoot a diffrent object, though I'm aware of your limited AS
:Collision while jumping "into" a floating platform isnt the best
things I could think could be better

But if this is your first attempt at a game, its not so bad. If I were to try I'd probably do worse.
