Thirty days to bring this together and it still comes down to the wire on Madness Day. We've poured everything we got into this game so hopefully you enjoy it and it runs ok on your computer! If it runs slow, Q toggles the quality.

This game is a shot-by-shot playable remake of Krinkel's Madness Consternation! We took a few liberties but overall tried to match the progression pretty closely. Enjoy!!!

Also note the fun fan-art gallery, showcasing stuff from the Art Portal!

Sept 23 - Final boss bugs should be fixed! Clear your cache.

Sept 24 - Hank now spends less time on the ground, while enemies spend more and can be shot while on ground. Hopefully this feels a little better!

Sept 29 - Fixed doorway agent bug and added a SWAP button (D) to swap weapons when you already have one. Walking over a weapon you already have will increase your ammo!

Sept 30 - Added option for MOUSE AIMING! We hope this makes lots of people happy.

Oct 1 - Added Madness Mode, which you unlock by beating the game. It's HARDCORE!

Sorry I can't add a pause button. This game is in AS2 and built in a way that simply doesn't allow it. Flash has no native pause support.

Response to difficulty complaints (and review yeh)

So, I was able to beat it with minimal health loss simply by jumping. A lot. You have to be air borne with normal enemies. With Tricky, just dodge and shoot to match his motion patterns. They repeat at the same time delays.

Now, as I've said so far, I found the game awesome! The art was wonderful (hand-drawn look at every turn), and lots of boss fights mean lots of variety. My only problem was with the normal enemy fights. Once they drop their weapons they lose all diversity and challenge. It gets boring; they can only melee and it's repetitive, like this sentence. Thankfully, you kept those segments short, and the rest sweet. Great job!

Great fun, But not without problems.

I greatly enjoyed this. The art was top notch, the gameplay felt smooth. But there was definitely some small issues which bugged me.

First of which was the lack of a switch weapon button. This made it annoying when I'd be proceeding to the next room and I'd drop a weapon for a gun near the door. I lost my chainsaw because of this early on when I didn't want to. Another thing is you can't shoot someone close to you. This made things a little annoying in small areas since I'd have to step back and shoot. One more thing that bugged me was that there was no recovery. So I'd get beat down sometimes and can't get up.

Other than those minor things the game is great fun and an interesting way to experience Madness.

Whole lotta fun!

I thought it was really fun. liked the art and the whole feel of the game! I was only annoyed by the fact that sometimes you got stuck in a situation were it was impossible to recover before you got hit again...
