Extremely simple, and yet so meaningful... the cigarette was a metaphor of the inverse relationships we have with the problems we meet with every day, and the punch was simply a daring, yet futile attempt at escape from one's own consciousness. The fact that they had legs (unusual in Madness characters) signified their will to run, and yet the lack of running meant that though they tried so hard, nothing they could do mattered in the end. The drab, grey textures were like a blank canvas, and your Madness characters the effigies of so many lives lost to purposeless oblivion dancing across it to the brink, but never quite crossing over. Over to what, you might ask... we can never know. It makes the movie all the more meaningful to me.
In other words, it was short but good. The punch surprised me. It was funny. Good animation. Please to make another. Thanks.
