Master of Basics: Flash Tutorial is an inspired tutorial game that took somewhat solid production. This tutorial covers the main basics of Flash to get familiar with the aspects. 12 sections await you, ranging from the basics, sprites, and even make a simple game.

Many Flash tutorials teach you using AS2. Well, I'm covering both AS2 & AS3 for all those AS programmers out there. AS3 is not left out! =)

If this tutorial is good enough, please have this as an additional setting for the Tutorial Collection. Thanks.

(NOTE: I couldn't get the a picture for the game. I tried uploading my own 64 pix, but it kept getting rejected because it had a transperancy. If possible, please help me fix this problem so that I can get a picture.)

This helped with the actionscript thanks. And where did you get the space back ground? I also liked how it covered all of the basics.

"Couple of things to watch out for..."

I ran into a few buttons here and there that didn't link to the pages they were supposed to. For instance, one of the sections had a "return to menu" button that acted as if it was a "back one page" button, and another had a "back one page" button that sent you to an entirely different section!

Also, you should probably reconsider either your background, text color, or text position. Black text on the darker portions of the background you chose simply doesn't work well for readability. Revising the positioning will probably be the simplest course of action to take.

Author's Response:

That sounds like a bug to me about the "return to menu" buttons. I'll go ahead and take a look at those. Maybe I'll consider revising some text since some of it may be sometimes hard to read. Thanks for the review, and I'll look and fix those bugs.
