After 3 long years of sleepless nights and near fatal set backs, Exmortis 3 has finally been released. I have put my heart and my soul in to this creation, so I hope more than anything that you enjoy this tale of revenge and salvation.
Over to you now, my friends...
As someone that understands what its like from artists perspective to need to get paid for ones skills and knowledge and time in the real world,I dont think its out of line to put some monetary value on usage of the game.
I mean, this boils down to the same thing as musicians getting paid for performing or for the right to hear their music. Its SOMEONES "blood, sweat and tears" and time out of their life to produce this creative material.
They have rights to their creation.Thats what copyrights are all about.
I really dislike whiners that dont really know anything about creating art or music performing a craft-skill...,let alone games such as this.
People have no concept of the amount of effort that goes into these things.
Every doofus thinks everything in the world should be free to them I guess.
I am a professional restorer of clocks and mechanisms, and let me tell ya,people have no idea how much work really goes into my craft and thus dont respect the issue of needing to get paid fairly for my knowledge and skill and experience.
So I understand the author/developer's need to be compensated.
I cannot really review this yet,but it looks good and I would be willing to pay for the privilege to use it. :)
Whats the point
personally im happy to pay he put his time in to it and im sure he deserves something other than just nice words
I don't understand the problem..
Everyone here needs to loosen up and give the author a break. Asking for money on something you've worked on is nothing new, and is usually inevitable. Sometimes people make things for fun and sometimes people make them for profit. This is the truth with flash games, Gameboy games, Xbox games and the like, it's no reason to give the maker a bad rep; however, putting the "pay-for-play" feature on a free game site was uncalled for. At least put "Demo" in the title or something so you don't mislead people.
Now on to the game...
The graphics are epic, as usual. Unfourtunatly, the saturation was horribly dark and murky.
I found the use of the powers a nice, strong concept, but it was presented kinda
abruptly into the game and I didn't really warm up much to it.
The controls were confusing at first, but you gradually get used to them.
Overall I give it an 7/10; 4/5. Maybe I'll buy the full game one day.
Thanks for all your hard work on the Eximortis series, the hard work you put into it reflects greatly on how well your games are, and I hope there'll be more sometime in the future.
From what I've seen of the demo, the game seems great. Only giving it seven though, 'cos I'm not getting the full game. Yet.
In any case, well done, and hope to see some more games from you, since based on the Exmortis-series, you really seem to know how to make great horror games.
I was pretty excited when I saw that there was a third Exmortis game, having played the other two and having enjoyed them. But then, imagine my surprise when I saw that, in order the play it in it's entirety, I needed to buy it.
Sorry, but that isn't happening, I like your games, and from the demo I played, this one seems pretty interesting, but not enough to pay how much your asking. I've bought much better designed and scarier games for the price that you want so you won't be getting my patronage.
I'm not unfair though, and I won't give you zero or one star because of it. You get five because, what I did play of it was really good, but having to pay knocked off the other five, better luck next time.
Thanks for your opinion... you raise an interesting point. I'm sorry that you feel the game is priced too highly. I'm assuming that you are basing your opinion on the web-published non-member price appearing on Fizzy.
We are constantly running bundles and promos that include Exmortis 3 at greatly reduced prices - and that always helps to soften the blow for those who feel the same as you do. My suggestion is create an account at Fizzy and you will be eligible for the specials that our team are constantly rolling out.
Physics platformer with time-portals. One place - two times and different level geometry.
