The Killbots of Cavern Station is a real time semi-tactical game. Use cover to kill the evil orange killbots.
WASD controls the camera.
Space bar to switch between your different squads
Click to send squad to location.
Squads will take cover behind any cover (white blocks) that their control rectangle touches or contains.
Squad members shoot automatically.
Tanks cannot take cover.
Make sure to use cover! It's super important!

It was a pretty simple game, yet it was soooo fun! I really loved the way that you could put your troops into cover, never really played a game where you could do that. I like that you can upgrade your two groups, although I think that you should be able to choose certain soldiers, such as a sniper. Really fun game, def. a favorite!
Did it win the 48 hour comp? It should have.
I consider this game to be a (very successful) proof of concept - and what's really exciting is the potential. Obviously it was bare bones, but I can really see the full version of this game becoming one of my favourites. More levels, different troop types, individually customizeable squads and hot keys, different terrain, zooming ability - it could be big.
This is Gaming
This is perhaps one of the more addicting games I've played in awhile. It has complex mechanisms, and good replay value with the changing parameters. And the fact it was created within a short time just shows you have talent. The controls took getting used to, but that's every game, so what I mean is: you win at life. Congrats. :)
So much potential!!
So much potential but (sorry) bad done. Overall i loved the gameplay but
-there could be more units
-you should be able to choose by yourself how much of your killbots or tanks are in the squads
-the menu looked very bad
-no in-game instructions
-the map looked bad too.
I would do it like this :
You start with only 1 hero (unit like tank but you can upgrade it individually) and a few killbots. The map should be something like a caste(or so) and you have to attack(or defend) it. You should be able to choose which unit is in which squad and you should be able to control up to 5 squads but not with the spacebar - with the numers on your keyboard. Maybe add some music and make the menu look good. I'm sure like this this game would get a great score.

This was actually a 48 hour game project, and I'm currently expanding it into a full-fledged game, that will likely be released under a new name with a new story behind it.
I really want this to get through, hopefully it will, then i'll favorate it :D
